The hidden life relevance of philosophy<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this paper the author tries to show in a specific way the essential relevance of philosophy in human history and life. That is, he founds his thesis on the fact that there were essentially different civilizations in due course of previous world history. These civilizations differ one from another not only in their understanding of good life, but also in their approaches to philosophy. This testifies to a sort of connection between different understandings of the ways of life and different forms of philosophy. For example, when it comes to philosophy, there is the deepest difference between understandings of philosophy in the Western and non-Western countries, but the same thing applies also to inherent ways of life in these countries. In other words, according to the author, different types of philosophy take part in the process of making of the different life styles which comprise personal and collective ideological, cultural and religious orientations, that is, customs, habits and substantial values; of course, not in a visible, direct way neither in short term, but in the hidden, indirect way and in long term.<\/p>\n

And finally, Slobodan Divjak discusses the influence of philosophical and theoretical ideas on the making of Nazi and communist systems and on that background he outlines the existing nature of the Russian and Chinese regimes.<\/p>\n
